She-Hulk series adds Jameela Jamil as Titania

She-Hulk, Jameela Jamil, Marvel, Disney+

Marvel’s She-Hulk series for Disney+ continues to round out its cast and the latest addition should prove to be a formidable opponent for Jennifer Walters. It seems that Jameela Jamil (The Good Place) has joined She-Hulk in a major role, which is said to be Titania, a Marvel supervillain with strength to rival She-Hulk herself.

She-Hulk will center on Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), a lawyer and cousin of Bruce Banner who inherits his Hulk powers after receiving a blood transfusion from him. However, unlike her cousin, Jennifer is able to retain much of her personality, intelligence, and emotional control when she transforms. In addition to Tatiana Maslany, She-Hulk will star Ginger Gonzaga and Renée Elise Goldsberry, as well as Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk and Tim Roth as The Abomination, a role he hasn’t played since The Incredible Hulk more than a decade ago.

Much like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki, She-Hulk will take the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a new direction. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed last year that the She-Hulk series will be a half-hour legal comedy, which Feige acknowledged is something they’ve never done before. Feige also said that the story will be staying true to the She-Hulk comics from writer/artist John Byrne, which should give you a clue in regards to the tone of the series. The latest MCU series on Disney+ is Loki, which debuted yesterday. You can check out a review of the first two episodes from our own Alex Maidy right here.
